An exceptional, fragrant and concentrated Leconfield Cabernet Sauvignon which was aged in 50% new French oak for 18 months prior to bottling. Cassis and cinnamon on the nose leading to a palate rich with blackberries, plums, and violets. Finishes with super silky tannins. Lovely already and may live forever.

A rich fruit palate with fine long tannins fills the glass and mouth, which reflects the early warmer vintage but still retains the elegance expected from a Coonawarra yield in good winemaking hands. The palate finishes with a clean acidity, hinting at the oak maturation. Will cellar well for 10-15 years.

Planted in the renowned terra rossa soil of the Coonawarra, Leconfield's Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard dates back to 1974, and benefits from a climate very similar to the Bordeaux region in France. Concentrated fruit flavours supported by earthiness are in the grapes, and grace this award-winner.
