Barossa Valley, SA Full Red Wines

Red wine – we like it, you like it. Sometimes it’s really red, sometimes it’s less red. Sometimes it’s Barossa Valley Shiraz, sometimes Coonawarra Cabernet or McLaren Vale Grenache. 1. After Five Wine Co. Single Vineyard Aglianico 2018
Special Price $28.00 Regular Price $39.00
Aglianico, perhaps like Nebbiolo is a wine of extremes. The nose, with red fruits and rose petals, is reminiscent of a light, perhaps delicate wine but the palate weight and tannins are at the other end of the scale. There’s rose petals, dark fruits and sage in the mix, liquorice, red fruit and a super long tannin finish. Definitely a food wine. Learn More

  10. Lienert Vineyards 'Sieben Klon' Barossa Shiraz 2020
Special Price $40.00 Regular Price $50.00
An exceptional wine, even more powerfully fruited than the 2019. Made by former Penfolds St Henri growers, the Lienert brothers. Each of the 7 distinct clones were harvested and fermented separately with the harvest date chosen to best allow each grape to express its best characters. For instance, the EVOS12 (Eden Valley clone) was harvested earlier than the others to allow for a beautiful perfume and liveliness in the final wine. Fermentation is done in tiny open top fermenters which are hand plunged up to 4 times a day. Certain clones are fermented cooler to better express delicate aromatics whilst some are plunged and pumped over heavily to achieve a more structural element. The trick is finding the right balance. Anyways, we love this wine and encourage you to give it a rip. Learn More
  11. Lone Palm Crossings Shiraz 2021
    $60.00
Wow! Full bodied, deep black and packed black fruits, gunsmoke, graphite and cedar. Immediately appealing though this is, it is absolutely worth decanting and will cellar for 15+ years. The fruit is hand picked, hand plunged and basket pressed before spending 14 months in mostly old French oak. Learn More
  12. Lone Palm Vineyards 'Selection' Shiraz 2022
    $250.00
Just 166 and a half dozen were produced of this impenetrably black beast. The best fruit is hand selected from the lowest yielding rows of the winery's best vineyard in Maranaga. Some whole bunch and 100% whole berries are fermented slowly in open fermenters before basket pressing into French Oak. Liquorice, star anise and cloves, dark chocolate, blackberries, blueberries, blackcurrants can all be found here. Fruit intensity and length are profound. Length is exceptional. An utterly brilliant wine. Learn More
