Only 1300 bottles were made of this single vineyard, estate Grown Cab- a product of the best fruit Dowie Doole grew in the 2019 vintage. It is the best wine we've ever tasted from DD! This is varietal, rich, smooth, powerful and has complexities which are just beginning to emerge and which will become more obvious with time. Choc mint- plums, violets and cedary oak all on the go here. A high-end Cab which is both powerful and elegant and still clearly retains an unmistakable varietal stamp. That's pretty difficult to pull off, and DD have done it with aplomb.

They have vines in Blewitt Springs – a cooler part of the Vale which produces exceptional Grenache and on California Road (one of the best sections of the Vale for Shiraz).

Moroccan flavours are some of my favourite. Generally, in common with Italian, Indian and many other cuisines, the food choices depend on what's local, in season and cheap. Moroccan food for me has the perfect blend of exciting spices and aromas, fresh herbs and accompaniments and the permission to make food organically sweet.
