Artisans of Barossa

To be an ‘artisan’ is very much about setting your own path driven by a human desire to explore, experiment and to express ourselves. To create and share things shaped in our mind and made by our own hands for the enjoyment of others. Often proffered with a simple “I made this, please enjoy”. A tinge of pride yes, but hubris never.
- Artisans of Barossa.

The Artisans of Barossa has just opened it’s cellar door, located in the Barossa at the northern edge of Tanunda, less than an hour's drive from the Adelaide CBD.  This collaboration consists of eight small winemakers; John Duval Wines, Spinifex Wines, Sons of Eden, Lienert Vineyards, Schwarz Wine Co., Purple Hands Wines, Hobbs of Barossa Ranges and Chaffey Bros. Wine Co. They hold one shared commitment, which is to protect and promote the art of small-batch Barossa winemaking.

There are several areas of this venue... The Wine Room holds over 100 Barossa wines, from eight of the region's best small, independent family-owned winemakers. Their Essen Restaurant gathers produce from local farmers and artisan producers who provision their kitchen, matching their specialty foods with the wines. The ever-changing menu depends on seasonal produce and availability. There's also a Deliketessen and Store offering all-day eats as well as great coffee!  Plus private rooms as well as The Terrace and Lawn Space, perfect for a wine in the sun.

You too can kick back, relax and enjoy the atmosphere at Artisans of Barossa. Address: 24 Vine Vale Rd, Tanunda SA 5352
