Atze’s Corner Wicks Estate Wine Packs

A wonderful selection of red wines from the Clare Valley, Adelaide Hills, Langhorne Creek, McLaren Vale and Barossa Valley. The Sieben Klon is a 95 pointer made by former St Henri growers, the Metala Legacy is as good a Cab as the Langhorne can make (which is mighty fine). Dowie Doole's Shiraz has black fruits, but also, and much rarer, blue fruits too. It is a belter. If all Shiraz had black and blue fruits, no one would buy anything else! Lone Palm's Old Vine Grenache will sell out in a few months and the Angas King Reserve is incredibly fresh for its age and has at least a decade ahead of it. Sometimes you just want a red with a bit of experience under its belt- still offering the vivacious fruit of youth but with the rough edges knocked off, the fruit if anything more vibrantly on show thanks to the more harmonious structure underpinning it. So here’s a collection of pearlers, counting amongst their number are wonderful wines from Dandelion, Heirloom, Mitchell, Jeanneret, Kilikanoon, Chateau Bernot from Bordeaux, and more. Incredibly, 10 of the 12 wines in this dozen were not just gold medal winners, but Top Gold winners, pointed equal top of their class in the initial judging. These wines have done well elsewhere too. The Majella Cab is Winestate’s Cabernet of the year and has won 4 trophies to date. The Redbrook Shiraz has picked up 9 gold medals in other wine shows. We suspect this pack will sell fast.
