Award Winning Whites from the Adelaide Hills and Eden Valley

A tiny production, single vineyard Riesling from the Eden, textural and aromatic Sauv Blanc from legend Tim Knappstein, fragrant and creamy PG and a zesty and passionfruity Sauv Blanc from Lloyd Brothers . These are all drinking beautifully now and will continue to do so over the next couple of years. The Riesling, a joy now, will spread its wings over the next decade, if you have the patience.

Andrew Miller is a Champagne nutter who decided to become a winemaker. After graduating from Roseworthy college, he did a vintage in Champagne with Cote de Blancs producer Guy Jacopin and in spite of no shared language learned much about the art of winemaking and specifically blending. This Artis wines pay homage to Mr. Jacopin. This exceptional Pinot Gris is both textural, with lively superb acidity and citrus emerging from the inclusion of 9% Clare Riesling, complexing the pear laden, Adelaide Hills Sauv Blanc. Soft, round, citrussy and delicious.

Winemaking legends Tim Knappstein and Nick Knappstein are responsible for this beautiful Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc from the exceptional '23 vintage. No expense was spared in the fruit quality, with high altitude vineyards (Piccadilly and Carey Gully) chosen, and only the cane pruned sections. Aromas of passionfruit and florals dominate the nose with the palate offering clarity, depth. texture, minerality and the zing of well-balanced acidity.

Juicy, crunchy and ripe. Grapefruit, lemon blossoms and zest, passionfruit and more are at play here. The palate is textural by SB standards, the finish long and dry. Very tasty.
