The original Langhorne Creek plantings of Shiraz from 1891 form the backbone and majority of this Shiraz from the brilliant 2021 vintage from Metala. The fruit is rich, the flavours complex and long, showing off the vine age as chocolate, cherries, pepper, blueberries and more cavort long before being wrapped up in quality, cedary oak. As good as the previous vintage was, this is better.

A riper, darker and more supple expression of Peppertree Shiraz which retains the hallmark, spice and subtlety. It was aged in old oak and released at 5 years of age – ready to drink!
