Cape Jaffa's Sauv Blanc is textural, with tropical fruits and guava. Claymore's Rizza offers striking citrussy aromatics and flavours and the Ted's Place PG offers pears and complexity. Colab and Bloom’s Shiraz offers dense black fruits with excellent length and intensity, Colab's Temp is medium bodied, intense and spicy - a stunning example which sits well along high end Crianza styles from Rioja, and Karl's Scepter's Barossa Cab is powerful - a big, chocolatey bite of goodness.

    A powerful Barossa Cab which announces itself with varietally appropriate aromatic lift in the form of violets and greenery. The palate is concentrated, replete with blackcurrant and blackberries along with macerating cherries and spice. Plenty of cedar and plenty of fine to medium weight tannins to finish. Begging for a rare to medium T-Bone.
    Limestone Coast, SA
    A lovely low acid, textural PG. Perfect with a plate of Carbonara or Fish n Chips, this offers baked apples, ginger, custard and pears. A perfect ‘first glass’ of the evening, but even better with the aforementioned dishes. Would also work at the end of the evening with an aged Comté cheese.

    Striking and concentrated lime dominates the aromatics here. The palate is powerful, with plenty of acid carrying the lime forward and across the length. A Riesling that really demands to be served with food.
    Adelaide Hills, SA
    Gold Medal, 93pts Sam Kim
    A single vineyard temp from and highly regarded Macclesfield Vineyard. Medium-bodied with an emphasis on red fruits, violets, cherry, hints of cola, and spice. Length is good, perfect with Tapas.
    Mount Benson, SA
    92pts Kim Brebach
    Bright tropical fruits with guava and green mango melding with apple and a citric acid zing. A little skin contact is allowed during ferment to encourage texture and ferment is completed in concrete eggs. Planted in in 1992, the Hoopers had their first vintage in '96, eventually achieving organic and biodynamic certification in 2005. Their entire operation is off grid.

    A deep purple colour announces a wine of depth and intensity. Flavours include black cherries, plum, dark chocolate blackberries and white pepper finished with a little smoky oak. Tannins are fine and supple, drink over the next 10 years.
