Hewitson Brothers at War Best Wine Deals
- 95 Points Minimum, Powerful PremiumsRegular Price $966.00 $295.00
Just the good stuff here for less than $25 a bottle. These have all picked up 95 points or more somewhere and deservedly so.
The Brothers at War picked up a Gold medal and was just pipped for a Trophy at the Adelaide Show. Metala’s ‘1891’ Cab just scored 95 from Kim Brebach who called it a powerhouse and worth every penny of its asking price.
The Lienert Shiraz is made by former Penfolds St Henri growers and has exceptional clarity and depth of fruit. Kim Brebach gave it 95 as did Ray Jordan who called it exquisitely poised, with driving intensity, an excellent wine.
The Cutis Small Batch sports 96pts. and is old vine, black fruited, full tilt, McLaren Vale Shiraz.
Finally, the Yaldara Grand also has 2x96 and a 95’er and is incredible- mixing black fruited power with a elegance which makes it something very special indeed.
Learn More - Alt. Reds incl. 2 Kilikanoon StunnersRegular Price $259.50 $150.00There really isn't a weak link in this pack. From the Mike Farmilo (ex Penfolds Grange) made Temp and Sangio, to the Brothers at War gold winning and Halliday 95 pointed Grenache, which is as powerful as it is light on its feet. The Mazza Touriga is a ripper too, tiny production, epic aromatics and a softness which belies its complexity. To seal the deal, Kilikanoon's Prodigal Grenache, awarded best Grenache of Show at the incredibly competitive Royal Adelaide Wine Show, and the just released, and even more sharply limited Walton's Grenache, sourced from a tiny block planted in 1946. - Brothers at War Peacekeeper Grenache 2022Special Price $35.00 Regular Price $38.00Sourced from 3 incredible vineyards, one of which is 150 years of age, this exceptional Grenache is then fermented in a mix of ceramic eggs and large format French oak foudres. Lifted red fruit and florals pass the baton to a palate offering raspberries, cranberries and pomegranate. The fruit intensity is excellent and well matched by firm acidity. The finish comes slowly, traversing as it does a lengthy pathway of fine tannins. Learn More
