Terms and Conditions 

General 

1. The Promoter is Wine Direct Pty Ltd. (ABN 19 094 072 830) of 8 Gilles Lane, Adelaide 5000. Telephone number (08) 8352 3094. Liquor licence number 57701649. This giveaway (“the Promotion”) is being hosted sitewide on www.winedirect.com.au. 

2. Purchasing any 12 or more bottles of wine in a single order from the Promoter during the entry period is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.

3. All decisions by the Promoter in matters relating to the promotion are final, and no correspondence will be entered into. 

Who can enter 

4. Entry is open to all Australian Residents over the age of 18 except employees and immediate families of the Promoter and their associated companies and agencies. Proof of the Winner’s age may be requested by the Promoter.  

5. If the drawn winner does not meet entry requirements or cannot be contacted within seven days of being drawn, a new winner will be selected. 

Entry period

6. The entry period will commence on March 25, 2024 at 09:00 ACDT until April 30, 2024 at 23:59 ACDT. Entries must be received by the Promoter prior to the closing date and time.

7. The time of entry will in each case be the time the purchase is received by the Promoter’s database, not at the time of transmission by the entrant.

8. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries due to technical disruptions, network congestion or for any other reason.

How to enter

9. Customers of the Promoter will be automatically entered into the random draw when purchasing any 12 bottles of wine from winedirect.com.au in a single order, whether online or by phone. Any cost of calling or accessing the website are the responsibility of the entrant.  

10. Each purchase of any 12 bottles in one order will give the entrant one entry into the draw. There is no limit to the number of entries per entrant.

11. No returns or cancellations can be made for orders during the entry period, or the entry becomes invalid. All sales are final, and purchasers cannot cancel and re-order. 

Draw and Notification of winner

12. The winner will be the first valid entry submitted in accordance with these Terms and Conditions that is drawn by a Wine Direct Pty Ltd. representative by means of a random digital draw on May 3, 2024.

13. The winner will be notified by phone and/or email within 24 hours of the draw.

The prize

14. The prize is one 750ml bottle of 2010 Penfolds Grange, valued at over $1000, in a gift box.

15. The prize cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash or credit.

16. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, The Promoter is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of:

• any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction;
• any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
• any delay, loss, alteration, damage or misdirection (whether or not after the Winner’s receipt of the prize) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of The Promoter;
• any variation in prize value
• any tax liability incurred by the winner or any entrant; or
• the use of the prize. 

Further Terms and Conditions

17. Subject to complying with all relevant State and Territory legislation, the Promoter reserves the right to amend, cancel or suspend this giveaway if an event beyond the control of the Promoter corrupts or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the competition. The Promoter will disqualify any individual who has tampered with the entry process or any other aspect of this competition.
