  3. Briar Ridge Big Bully Wrattonbully Cabernet Sauvignon 2022
Special Price $60.00 Regular Price $65.00
Initially, this feels like a story told at max volume—packed with detail but challenging to unravel. Given a few hours in the decanter, however, an engaging narrative reveals itself. Layers of black fruit, cola, cedar, black pepper, espresso and tobacco emerge, framed by robust oak and fine, raspy tannins. With time and air, a quiet complexity draws you in, urging you to listen closely. A wine destined for greatness with patience. Learn More
  4. Briar Ridge Dairy Hill Semillon 2024
Special Price $40.00 Regular Price $45.00
A delicious Sem which can be drunk now or cellared for a decade. Green apple, citrus, oxalis grass, smoky notes, seaweed and a generous mouthfeel all recommend a second glass. Generous, refined, textural and loaded with fruit. Learn More
  5. Briar Ridge Hillrose Shiraz 2023
Special Price $43.00 Regular Price $55.00
Medium bodied, red fruited and spicy. Lots of complexity here with raspberry, blueberry, musk, aniseed and white pepper at play. Tannins are fine and silken. Lovely! Learn More
  6. Briar Ridge Limited Release BDX 2022
Special Price $35.00 Regular Price $40.00
Dark fruits and chocolate and a burst of rosewater on the nose. Black and blue fruits and cedar in the mouth. Tannis are fine and supple, making this particularly enjoyable now - but don't be afraid to chuck this away for a decade either. Learn More
  7. Briar Ridge Terra Rossa Malbec 2022
Special Price $25.00 Regular Price $27.00
Powerful black and blue fruits, sage smoke, meat, lilly pilly, mint and rose petal. Black cherry, spice, coffee and dark chocolate. A complex beast and exceptional value for money. Learn More
  8. Briar Ridge The Gatherer Shiraz 2023
Special Price $50.00 Regular Price $55.00
Outstanding! We gave it 97 on our tasting panel, and shortly thereafter, this picked up a trophy at the Hunter Boutique Wine Show. This is a medium bodied, aromatic Rhone style, with purple and blue fruits, smoky notes, redcurrant panna cotta, mulberry, black pepper, and violets. Loads of spice here, purple flowers and more. Gorgeous, and captivating, both aromatically and on the palate. Learn More
  9. Ca Vegar Bardolino DOC 2023
    $45.00
Its bigger than Pinot, and of course has a different flavour profile, but in the UK plenty of punters who drink Pinot are equally enamoured of Bardolino. 'But it is made from the same grapes as Amarone', we hear you say. It is, and Bardolino is only half an hour from that region, but the wines are altogether brighter and far more delicate than you'll find there. This Bardolino sees about 6 months in oak, followed by some time in tank prior to bottling – red fruits and violet form the nose. It is red fruity, pulpy and fleshy and finishes tight and dry, with excellent length, minerality, plenty of acid and fine tannins. Drink it with rich meaty dishes or oily fish. Definitely a food wine and absolutely worth decanting. Learn More
  10. Colli Vicentini Romeo Prosecco DOC
    $35.00
Aromatic and laden with green apple and citrus, sherbet and fruit tingle, this is an excellent prosecco. The palate is textural and (within specs) has good mouthfeel. Consider pairing with a plate of something spicy! Learn More
  11. Picardy Pemberton Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc 2019
    $30.00
We know this wine pretty well, having tasted every vintage produced since inception. Tight in its youth, this is released with plenty of age so that it's just hitting its straps when you first order it. Medium bodied with plenty of fruit intensity, brightness of fruit and plenty of super-fine tannin. Offers cedar, tobacco, chocolate and blackcurrants. As it ages it will grow increasingly complex, lush and thoughtful. Learn More
  12. Picardy Pemberton Pinot Noir 2021
Special Price $58.00 Regular Price $70.00

Pinot Noir is Bill and Dan Pannell’s great love, especially the Pinots of Burgundy. With every year Bill and Dan get a little closer to making the ‘perfect pinot’. When our buyer Matt left Picardy (he was vineyard serf and assistant winemaker until 2003), the wine was made from 5 clones, including the highly prized Burgundian selection ‘777’ which Bill Pannell spent close to a decade getting into Australia. You’ll now find a number of Aussie wineries with 777 planted, all thanks to the hard work of the Pannells. Today the Pinot is made from 11 individual clones, 6 of which have been sourced from Corton, Burgundy. Whilst the wine was excellent back in the early 2000’s, it is now superb, one the best Pinot Noirs made in Australia, year in, year out. The 2021 is perfectly balanced, structured, chalky, elegant and mineral. There are plenty of red fruits, spice, and cedar. The perfect balance of fine boned acidity, mouthfeel and texture makes this wine seem elegant and effortless, yet it is incredibly powerful and deep. Tannins on the finish are glassine in a very Burgundian fashion. Magnificent.
