A stunning Aussie Touriga here, sourced from Heirloom finest vineyard. Has picked up a gold at the Adelaide Show, to go with its Trophy from Sydney. Lots of whole bunch here, to emphasise fragrance and vivacity of fruit and a relatively short 7 month maturation in 20% new French oak. Mulberry, fennel, cinnamon, liquorice, herbs and more all on the go here in what is a big brooding wine that somehow also manages to be fresh and vibrant. Learn More

The Grenache (from 95 year old bush vines) was fermented on skins for 10 days after harvest with a small element of whole bunch. The shiraz is from Blewitt Springs and fermented on skins for 8 days then pressings were added back in. Both wines were then transferred to 8 and 9 year old barrels for the wines to develop without the intrusion of oak flavour.

This is a magnificent blend of robust, full bodied shiraz with spice and chocolate offset by the juicy red and blue fruits of old vine grenache. A wonderful wine to enjoy now but the structure suggests it has 10-15 years of improvement ahead of it.

This is McLaren Vale Grenache in all its playful and complex glory. The nose shows a variety of red and blue fruits of raspberry and blueberry, apparent as soon as you open the bottle, the palate is brooding and complex with layers of juicy fruits and a dry mouthfeel underpinned by powdery tannins… one for the cellar, or a brief decant will open this beauty up for maximum enjoyment.
