The 2024 is now 100% made from Grenache selectively picked from Block 32. Gently airbag pressed and fermented with the juice being allowed to settle prior to a long, cool ferment to help maintain all the lovely notes from vintage 2024. Following fermentation, the wine was left on lees for the right balance, structure and mouthfeel. A beautiful sparkling made from Adelaide Hills Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, using the Methode Champenoise. The wine was aged on lees in bottle for 2 years prior to disgorgement. A powerful and textural Riesling from the superb 2022 vintage. This is already excellent but will cellar for a decade, probably two. A floral, lime and lemon bouquet leads to a steely, mineral palate replete with even more powerful and inviting citrus. Length and persistence are superb. Huon Hooke rates this well inside the top 10 Clare Rieslings from the vintage and just 1 point adrift from top spot.
