Learn More - Angus the Bull Cabernet Sauvignon 2020Special Price $20.00 Regular Price $23.00A wine made specifically for steak you say? Winemaker Hamish MacGowan has had a few careers, Cattle musterering in the NT, wine merchant in the UK, winemaker in Bordeaux, winemaker in Moldova, and winemaker in Vic. Eventually he decided to work for himself, making the perfect wines to pair with his fave thing to eat - Steak. So here it is, cloaked in iridescent purple, ripe black fruits, dark chocolate, vanillin oak and whisper fine tannins. Good by itself? Yes, as is the medium Rare T-bone you are sliding off the charcoal grill. Together though, somehow, both become perfect. Get 'em into ya! Learn More
- Barristers Block Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc 2024$32.00
Lime and lime zest with snow pea tendrils and grapefruit. A delightful texture and just the perfect amount of acidity to allow the fruit to make its powerful point without taking over the show. A delightful Savvy which should improve for a few years yet.
Learn More - Ca Vegar Bardolino DOC 2023$45.00Its bigger than Pinot, and of course has a different flavour profile, but in the UK plenty of punters who drink Pinot are equally enamoured of Bardolino. 'But it is made from the same grapes as Amarone', we hear you say. It is, and Bardolino is only half an hour from that region, but the wines are altogether brighter and far more delicate than you'll find there. This Bardolino sees about 6 months in oak, followed by some time in tank prior to bottling – red fruits and violet form the nose. It is red fruity, pulpy and fleshy and finishes tight and dry, with excellent length, minerality, plenty of acid and fine tannins. Drink it with rich meaty dishes or oily fish. Definitely a food wine and absolutely worth decanting. Learn More
- Colli Vicentini Romeo Prosecco DOC$35.00Aromatic and laden with green apple and citrus, sherbet and fruit tingle, this is an excellent prosecco. The palate is textural and (within specs) has good mouthfeel. Consider pairing with a plate of something spicy! Learn More

- Leasingham Bin 61 Shiraz 2021Special Price $20.00 Regular Price $25.00Leasingham wines have been around since the 1890s and have been steered by a series of legendary winemakers over the years. It wasn’t until the early 70s that the Bin series kicked off, with a Bin 61 Shiraz and a Bin 56 Cab Malbec. These were both highly prized for their exceptional quality and regular ability to out-perform wines selling at 2-3 times their asking price. A few of us from WD were lucky enough to attend a vertical tasting with Tim Knappstein (one of the aforementioned and legendary Leasingham alumni) a decade or so ago and came away incredibly impressed with the quality and consistency of the wines. We looked at over 20 vintages, and everything we tasted was still showing fruit, the best of them were exceptional. So it’s a little sad that the '21 may be the last vintage of the Bin 61 Shiraz. Lots of good stuff here, black tea, chocolate, coffee grounds, mint, plum, charcuterie, and blackberries. The overall impression is of mid-weight fruit, an even balance between softness, fine tannin and good length. Cracking value for money. Drink now through 2030. Learn More
- Maison Jean Loron Pouilly Fuisse BIO ‘La Coronile’ 2019Special Price $110.00 Regular Price $120.00A stunning White Burgundy, aka Chardonnay, from a legendary producer who has been fermenting grapes since 1711. Bill Nanson, of the Burgundy Report, first tasted this wine 3 years ago, offering ‘More complexity and vibrance to this aroma – more barrel too ... a wine that’s more about the future. Wide, saline, concentrated, and certainly mineral. The finish is subtle but very persistent. You should give this wine at least 3 years in the cellar – or I would anyway. Excellent wine, with the potential for great.’ So, we’ve waited 3 years and the wine is ravishingly beautiful – voluptuous yet structured, pendulously stonefruity yet mineral, with a lovely cheese edge that comes from barrel worked and lees stirred Chardonnay. Magic stuff. Learn More
- Manser 'Block 4' Adelaide Hills Shiraz 2022Special Price $60.00 Regular Price $65.00This is the seventh release of their flagship ‘Hills shiraz and as usual you’re hit immediately with a waft of black and blue fruits and the trademark white pepper that announces this wine as a “hills monster". The palate is full bodied and it’s here you see even more layers of complexity and intrigue, no doubt due to the co-fermentation of 5 different clones scattered throughout this unique vineyard. This will offers years of cellaring but to enjoy now, bust out the decanter for an hour to release all of this lovely flavour.

Learn More - Manser 'One Mad Moment' McLaren Vale Shiraz Grenache 2022Special Price $30.00 Regular Price $35.00The Grenache (from 95 year old bush vines) was fermented on skins for 10 days after harvest with a small element of whole bunch. The shiraz is from Blewitt Springs and fermented on skins for 8 days then pressings were added back in. Both wines were then transferred to 8 and 9 year old barrels for the wines to develop without the intrusion of oak flavour.
This is a magnificent blend of robust, full bodied shiraz with spice and chocolate offset by the juicy red and blue fruits of old vine grenache. A wonderful wine to enjoy now but the structure suggests it has 10-15 years of improvement ahead of it. Learn More
