  1. Leasingham Bin 61 Shiraz 2021
Special Price $20.00 Regular Price $25.00
Leasingham wines have been around since the 1890s and have been steered by a series of legendary winemakers over the years. It wasn’t until the early 70s that the Bin series kicked off, with a Bin 61 Shiraz and a Bin 56 Cab Malbec. These were both highly prized for their exceptional quality and regular ability to out-perform wines selling at 2-3 times their asking price. A few of us from WD were lucky enough to attend a vertical tasting with Tim Knappstein (one of the aforementioned and legendary Leasingham alumni) a decade or so ago and came away incredibly impressed with the quality and consistency of the wines. We looked at over 20 vintages, and everything we tasted was still showing fruit, the best of them were exceptional. So it’s a little sad that the '21 may be the last vintage of the Bin 61 Shiraz. Lots of good stuff here, black tea, chocolate, coffee grounds, mint, plum, charcuterie, and blackberries. The overall impression is of mid-weight fruit, an even balance between softness, fine tannin and good length. Cracking value for money. Drink now through 2030. Learn More
  2. Leconfield Old Vines Riesling 2024
Special Price $25.00 Regular Price $28.00
Leconfield make consistently excellent Riesling from what are now 51 year old Coonawarra vines. This is a fine wine with talcum powder and lemon and lime aromatics. The palate is textural, offering minerality and excellent length. Elegant, fragrant, textural, long and lip smackingly delicious. Learn More
  3. Alberto Bartali Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2018
    $150.00
Brunello di Montalcino (brown one of Montalcino), is made from 100% Sangiovese from the Brunello di Montalcino region, which along with Barolo, was the equal first Italian wine region awarded DOCG status, the highest available. It is considered one of the greatest wines on earth. Made from a local clone of Sangiovese, called Prugnolo Gentile, which is thicker skinned, more tannic and acidic than the sangio clones of Chianti and elsewhere in Italy, Brunello is prized for its intensity and depth of flavour and ageability. The Bartali is a full bodied and sense enveloping wine, packed with cherries, tobacco, herbs, spice, espresso, leather and more. Powerful, long, persistent and finished with robust but fine tannins. This is already exceptional and will age magnificently. Learn More
  4. Leconfield Coonawarra Chardonnay 2022
Special Price $26.00 Regular Price $28.00
A beautifully buttery and oaky Leconfield Chardonnay Chardy. Ripe tropical fruits, matchstick, stonefruits, creaminess and grilled nuts. Looking for a buttery Chard with a good hit of French oak, look no further! Learn More
  5. Leconfield La Sevillana Rosé 2022
Special Price $25.00 Regular Price $28.00
Another textural Rose from Leconfield with red fruits, florals, and melon. Winemaker Paul Gordon works 2 very different ferments here... one aromatic ferment... where juice was cold settled, racked with low solids and cold fermented using an aromatic yeast. The other portion was fermented with whole solids and natural yeast at a warmer temperature, then allowed to undergo malo-lactic fermentation to promote mouthfeel and length. The end result is stunning and complex. Learn More
  6. Leconfield Coonawarra Cabernet 2020
Special Price $30.00 Regular Price $36.00
An exceptional, fragrant and concentrated Leconfield Cabernet Sauvignon which was aged in 50% new French oak for 18 months prior to bottling. Cassis and cinnamon on the nose leading to a palate rich with blackberries, plums, and violets. Finishes with super silky tannins. Lovely already and may live forever. Learn More
  7. Leconfield Syn Sparkling Coonawarra Rosé
    $22.00
A slightly pink sparkling this one. It’s labelled rosé but to us seems much more like a traditional cool climate Chardy Pinot sparkling and a bloody good one at that. It has a very fine bead, aromas of stonefruit and red fruits along with a little brioche. Flavours follow suit and introduce cherries and a creamy aspect. This is delicious. Learn More
  8. Leconfield Syn Cuvee Blanc NV
    $22.00
A remarkably fresh sparkling white made from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir fruit from the Coonawarra. It has a lively, creamy, mousse and a full, supple body. (And yes, much better looking than Abbott in Speedos). Enjoy it now in all its youthful glory as an aperitif, or with shellfish and seafood. Syn(ful) indeed! Learn More
