  5. Bloody Big Reds: Aus vs Italy
    6 pack - $40.00/bottle
    64% Off RRP
Bloody Big Reds: Aus vs Italy
    Regular Price $673.00 $240.00

Most Aussie red drinkers know our Shiraz can be big, bold and packed with flavour. You could argue that these are the biggest reds on the planet. But that would be discounting Italian reds — especially those from the Amarone-producing region of Valpolicella — which can be just as powerful. The secret? Traditional techniques like air-drying grapes pre-ferment to intensify richness and structure. Source them from a high altitude grower who yields his vineyard low, air dries the fruit for an extended period and ferments to maximise extraction, and you've got yourself a bruising rivalry!

In this 6-pack, we’ve matched three massive, low yield, air dried reds from Ca' Botta with three bold Aussie reds, including the opulent Yaldara Grand Shiraz and full-bodied Angas King Reserve. It's a side-by-side look at what happens when both hemispheres go big — in flavour, structure and style.

  6. Ca Vegar Bardolino DOC 2023
    $45.00
Its bigger than Pinot, and of course has a different flavour profile, but in the UK plenty of punters who drink Pinot are equally enamoured of Bardolino. 'But it is made from the same grapes as Amarone', we hear you say. It is, and Bardolino is only half an hour from that region, but the wines are altogether brighter and far more delicate than you'll find there. This Bardolino sees about 6 months in oak, followed by some time in tank prior to bottling – red fruits and violet form the nose. It is red fruity, pulpy and fleshy and finishes tight and dry, with excellent length, minerality, plenty of acid and fine tannins. Drink it with rich meaty dishes or oily fish. Definitely a food wine and absolutely worth decanting. Learn More
  7. Cabernet Three Ways
    12 pack - $16.58/bottle
    65% Off RRP
    Cabernet Three Ways
    Regular Price $564.00 $199.00

By Popular Demand – A Cabernet Pack Under $20 a Bottle

You asked, we delivered – a cracking Cab-dominant dozen for under $20 a bottle. These are far from basic – each wine offers serious structure, flavour, and cellaring potential.

    Longview Cabernet Sauvignon '22

Elegant, structured, and finely tannined – this trophy-winning Adelaide Hills Cab is textbook stuff. Expect violets, blue fruits, and a stunning, almost porcelain-like frame. Perfect with a lamb roast. Decant now or cellar for 10+ years.

    Norfolk Rise Cabernet Sauvignon '22

100% estate-grown Limestone Coast fruit, this is beautifully made – vibrant, smooth, and generous. Effortless drinking now, but with enough structure to age nicely too.

    Showblock Rosie '19

A 95-point McLaren Vale stunner. Mostly Cab with a splash of Shiraz, this is big, rich, thick, black, and unctuous. Utterly delicious and built to impress.

  12. Longview Devil's Elbow Cabernet Sauvignon 2022
Special Price $30.00 Regular Price $32.00
A tightly coiled Cab that needs a little coaxing by way of an hour or 2 in the decanter. While that's happening, turn your thoughts to lamb and what you might be eating in an hour or 2 when the wine is cherry ripe. Funnily enough, we found cherries here, along with blackcurrant, cocoa, tomato leaf and a plushness emerging from an intense baseline once the wine had gulped a little air. You can see the promise on opening, but post decanting, the Trophy and gold medals this wine has won make a great deal of sense. Learn More
