The Leconfield old vines is a beauty made in miniscule quantities and the Jeanneret Sevenhill is a 96 point stunner - ethereal, citrus-laden and powerful. The vibrant, slippery fruit is supercharged, bursting with bright flavour yet the wine is not overripe or high in alcohol. It’s medium-bodied, almost elegant – it’s truly rare to find such intensity of flavour in a gentle red. So far so good; we’re on track for a good $199 doz.
