Chicken doesn’t get much better than this BBQ Korean chicken. So much flavour going on. Spice, acidity, freshness and some great smokey BBQ flavours too.
When I was pairing a wine with this recipe, I was looking for them both to compliment one another. I needed to be able to enjoy both components on their own and also together. I can tell you Wine Direct & Zonte’s Footstep got it right with their ‘Shades of Gris’. Beautiful bright acidity, pear, melon and a very moreish quality – always good in wine . Drinking it on it’s own was a delight whilst the chook cooked but as it opened up and I tasted it with food – well, the bottle didn’t last too long. Luckily, I had a 2nd in the fridge!!
