Just 1,600 bottles produced from old vines located on the western side of Greenock Creek. 50% new French oak. Minimal intervention. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. There's graphite, tar, spice, incredibly dense black fruits and a mix of French oak and fruit tannins to finish. A masterpiece.
Oz Wine Review had the following to say when Eisenstone's winemaker Stephen Cook offered to drop in: 'I don’t accept many winemaker visitors here at Australian Wine and Drinks Review HQ, purely because I have zero time and already too many wines to open. But Stephen Cook, with the 2021 Eisenstone Shiraz wines in tow, deserves an exception. This is a label singularly devoted to grand Barossa Shiraz, produced in a style that is proudly Australian and yet with such a respect for terroir and expression that it is irrepressible.'

These wines are tiny production, no expense spared exultations of the best, most intense fruit the Western Ranges of the Barossa Valley is capable of producing. There are a good number of RWT and Penfold's Grange level vineyards used here.
