Both grown on the estate and sourced from quality growers, the grapes are crushed and destemmed straight into the press to retain delicacy and aromatics and minimise colour transfer from the skins. The wine’s salmon pink colour is matched by a delicate strawberry aroma along with citrus blossom. The palate offers cherry and strawberry flavours and a creamy texture. From a Lovedale vineyard, the JKD offers green apple and lemon, bath powder and lemongrass, sustained across a long and powerful palate. Kinda like a Semillon that thinks it is a Riesling. More textural than your typical young Sem, and therefore lovely already. Can also be cellared for about a decade if you prefer the pendulous lanolin notes that come with patience. Learn More

The 2024 is now 100% made from Grenache selectively picked from Block 32. Gently airbag pressed and fermented with the juice being allowed to settle prior to a long, cool ferment to help maintain all the lovely notes from vintage 2024. Following fermentation, the wine was left on lees for the right balance, structure and mouthfeel. Typically fresh and zesty. this edition of the Dagger is brimful of with fresh red and forest fruits and more power than we've seen in recent vintages.
