Two Sisters Wine Co. Barossa Valley Shiraz 2017
Special Price $60.00 Regular Price $70.00
The 2017 is a worthy successor to the exceptional 2015 and 2016 vintages which scored 96 and 97 points respectively while earning the following praise from wine writer Kim Brebach... 'Penfolds would charge $200 for a wine like this'. The 2017, from a slightly cooler vintage, adds savoury notes to the trademark intense black fruits and spice. The oak is high quality and beautifully integrated and tannins are elegant in both their sufficiency and application. This is good now and has a very bright future ahead.

Two Sisters’ Wines has a strong and proud family history dating back to 1843 when the family’s ancestor, Christian Auricht was amongst the first settlers of Langmeil in the Barossa Valley after escaping religious persecution in Hamburg, Germany. The family still owns the homestead, barn and orchard block of Christian Auricht who was instrumental in the Barossa Valley's wine history, establishing one of the Barossa’s first trading villages on the banks of the North Para River. He then planted what is now believed to be the oldest surviving Shiraz vineyard in the world. The family has grown grapes in the Barossa for 6 generations, with David Braunack the current custodian. Grapes were sold until 2013 to the likes of Peter Lehmann, Penfolds, Maverick, Colonial Estate and Barossa Valley Estates.
