We had the proverbial Cheshire Cat grin when we first tasted this wine in barrel. It was polished black with deep red highlights, ripe and strongly varietal with beautifully integrated oak showing cedar, spice and mocha - full bodied with exceptional length and fine, plentiful tannins. So we bought the lot and waited patiently for the perfect time to put it into bottle. This is the result… the Cheshire Cat Shiraz. It drinks beautifully now after a decent decant but will also reward careful cellaring for 10 or more years. Either way, once you’ve had a taste, you’ll be wearing a grin that will be left behind long after the final drop has been poured...
