Allow us to prattle on a little more about this...

Grenache fans will love Zonte’s Peacocks Fan, Spinifex Garcon and Curtis' 95 Halliday point Limited Series. Chateau Yaldara’s Shiraz is epic at 16%, matured in French and American oak. Serve it with a steak or something big and beefy to balance. Curtis Limited Shiraz is back with 94 points. D’Arenberg’s ‘Laughing Magpie’ Shiraz Viognier from 2012 is dark and punchy, along with their Cabernet Blend ‘Galvo Garage’, both with multiple Golds. Teusner let us in on their ‘Albert’ Shiraz – it’s incredibly intense but with a light touch, made with fruit from 70 year old vines. Expect black and blue fruits with wonderful length and a touch of oak – stunning. Zonte’s 5 Gold Lake Doctor Shiraz contrasts with rich purple fruits, milk chocolate and mild oak spice from their Langhorne Creek blocks. For this month’s GSM, Chateau Yaldara won the pick with their Gold winning drop. There’s confectionary from the Grenache, brooding darkness from the Mataro and the Shiraz gives excellent width and firm tannin. We shouldn’t forget the Cabernet from the Curtis trilogy in this selection, boasting chocolate and spice intensity across cedary oak complexity. Exceptional wines at an exceptional price for those wanting a couple to put under the bed and a couple to keep within arm’s reach.
