2026 Super Loong Lunch Mixed Pack (incl. $50 donation)
We’re back again this year with another stellar line up of wines to help the excellent work done by the Super Loong Lunch team. This year we're here to help the Reaiche family. Meet Antony, his wife Margaret, and their sons Alec (20), Micah (17) and Anah, who at 21 was diagnosed with stage 2 unfavourable Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
To help as much as we can, here at winedirect.com.au, we will donate $50 for every dozen sold to aid efforts in this year's fundraiser.
There are 3 packs up for grabs this year and all are stacked with extraordinary wines. A premium 13 bottle red pack with over $1,100 worth of wine for $290, a 13 bottle white pack with $444 worth of value for $270, and a massive 14 bottle mixed pack with over $1,100 worth for $310. Of course, as always, the most important part is the $50 donation for every dozen sold going to the 2026 Super Loong Lunch Fundraising efforts in helping the Reaiche family.
As is now tradition, we like to make sure we have a couple of showstoppers in the mix, lead this year by the 96pt 2018 Greenock Estate GE Shiraz valued at $480. followed very closely by the stunning 97pt Shiraz from Barossa winemaking royalty, Dave Powell (ex Rockford and Torbreck founder), the return of Murray Street Vineyards, Dowie Doole's Flagship McL Vale Cabernet and 3 super fun food friendly wines form Pllana Wines, Purple Hands and Brancott Estate. On the white front this year is the stunning Blanc de Blanc French Champagne from Champagne Bouche, ably supported by the brilliantly textural Fiano from Briar Ridge, Katnook Estate's Coonawarra Chardonnay, Claymore's refreshing and zippy Walk this Way Riesling. Also in the mix is our favourite Rosé of the last year, the Manser One Mad Moment, along with a fresh and crisp SB from Wise Wolf and the trophy winning best PG in show from the 2025 Royal Adelaide Wine Show.

Big, bold, and packed with flavour… but with a layer of polish that keeps everything in check. The nose is classic Barossa: ripe plum and blackberry, a lick of licorice, mocha, coffee grounds, and a lifted, perfumed edge that gives it real appeal. The palate delivers in spades. Dense, concentrated fruit wrapped around fine oak, with plush texture and serious generosity. Think dark plum, black cherry, a touch of savoury spice, and a rich dark chocolate finish that lingers. This is a cracking example of a strong Barossa vintage— opulent, satisfying, and built for lovers of full-bodied reds.
100% Chardonnay from the Premier Cru Pierry Village, the Grand Cru Chouilly Village and Barbonne. 10% oak aging and 30% reserve wine are employed in the creation of this intense and complex cuvée. Even the liquoring wine spends 18 months in oak. Lees ageing in bottle for a full 4 years prior to disgorgement. The is lemony, textural and powerful with granny smith apple, grapefruit, minerality, chalky notes and honey also along for the ride. Bead is fine, texture is mouth filling and the finish is long and profound. An exceptional Champagne.
A complex and tightly wound white that opens beautifully with a little air or decanting. The palate is layered and textural, showing white peach, kiwi, and nashi pear alongside spice, minerality, and a subtle savoury depth. Partial barrel fermentation and bâtonnage lend a gentle creaminess and a fine, grainy line of tannin to the finish. A sophisticated, food-friendly wine — superb with seafood.
Katnook pioneered Chardonnay in the Coonawarra, initially planting vines in 1971 and with the 1980 vintage marking the first commercial release.
The mild to cool 2022 growing season was exceptional for Coonawarra Chardonnay. Small quantities of fruit were pressed straight to oak, 20% of which was new. From there, wild fermentation and lees stirring to build texture and creaminess was employed every couple of weeks. Flavours and aromas here are of stonefruit, hazelnut, cream and spice.
This is supple old vine Barossa Grenache, wild fermented and then aged for 9 months in old French oak. It is already absolutely delicious but should be good for another decade, such is its balance and bright acidity. Red cherries, raspberries, a hint of cedar, and bright acid contrasted with a welcoming generosity of texture and spice. Wonderful.
An excellent combo of Langhorne Creek Cab and McLaren Vale Grenache here. Just a brief time on skins to give it that 'Provence Rosé' colouring and the rest is all vibrant aromatics and fruit forwardness. Raspberry and watermelon dominate here complexed with a hint of jalapeño from the Cabernet. Bloody good.
A delightful, Italian inspired, medium bodied, three way blend of Montepulciano, Negroamaro and Aglianico. Superb fruits here, with cherries, plums, dried oregano, florals and cedar all playing a part in what is both a complex, beguiling and seamless red wine. A ripper, thoroughly deserving of its Gold and Top Gold medals at the Royal Adelaide Wine Show.
Light, clear, mouthwatering and zippy. Plenty of fresh green apple and juicy pears on the go here. Crisp and refreshing, the light body allowing exceptional fruits to shine. This is a wonderfully sating first glass that then demands a second. We bench tested this against PG's at 2 and 3 times the price and it came out comfortably ahead of them. A Gold, Top Gold and Trophy Winner at the Royal Adelaide Wine Show.
A lovely Sauv Blanc right in the middle of its ideal drinking window. Plenty of grapefruit and green apple here, along with herbaceousness and suggestions of both thyme and lemongrass. Stunning value for money. Pair this with herb encrusted fish, or a goats cheese salad, or roast chook.
