Shiraz I Live and Breathe

Price as configured: $189.00

Australia’s most prized red wine which also shares its name with a city in Iran (which caused some issues with our PayPal account once... but that's another story)... that’s right, the beloved Shiraz. No surprises, just excellent booze from Zonte’s Footstep (5 gold medals and 93 points), Purple Hands (96 points), Dandelion (7 golds) and a Centurion from Richard Hamilton which averages 96 points plus from James Halliday.

Allow us to prattle on a little more about this...

Throw caution to the wind with these excellent Shiraz. The Centurion from Richard Hamilton regularly scores above 96 points from Jimmy H. With stunning fruit intensity, concentration and structure, there’s no wonder. Zonte’s Lake Doctor Shiraz delivers that signature chocolate flavour, layered with plums, spice and a hint of coffee, perfect to pair with a beef stew or pie. Purple Hands is made by Craig Stansborough of Grant Burge fame and is mighty excellent Shiraz from the Barossa Valley. It’s intense, but also textural with anise and spice woven into cool climate black and blue fruit and silky tannins. This Lioness from Dandelion may as well be king of the jungle, with a whopping 7 gold medals. It’s a big beast with black fruit flavours, anise and black pepper. All of these wines are cellar ready but will drink well now.
