Scorchin’ ‘Strayan Summer Selection incl. a BONUS 97pt McLazza Shiraz

Price as configured: $160.00

It’s that time of year where the mood has long turned languorous and you just want to be chilling out with family and mates, visiting the beach while bemoaning budgie smugglers and ripping the lid of a corker drop or two. There could be a beer or two in that mix, maybe a gin and tonic. But there’s no better way to celebrate the Aussie summer than with the most magnificent Aussie icon – Shiraz! We’ve also chucked in a couple of superb sauvies for those days when the weather is drier than a dead dingo's donger. PLUS a bonus 97pt McLaren Vale Shiraz - just because we can... Cheers!

Allow us to prattle on a little more about this...

Some dead set Aussie rippers in this pack. Sidewood's 'Fume' style Sauvy picked up a stellar 94 points from James Halliday and the Bird in Hand nabbed the Winestate Trophy for Best SB of the Year – even beat the Kiwi Sauvy Blancs - first time an Aussie has knocked them off for the Trophy. Poetry! Then we’ve got 4 belter Shiraz... The Hesketh is made by Phil Lehmann, son of legend Peter Lehmann and packs plenty of punch with its black fruits. Give it a rip with some gourmet snags, good ones mind! The Curtis Heritage is bloody good too, black as the ace of spades and smooth to boot. Snags here too, or homemade burgers. The Curtis Limited has scored 94 points from Halliday and is chokkers with fruit intensity, and the Kilikanoon is complex, rich, ripe and lip smacking. Both perfect with a charred t-bone or marinated lamb backstrap. Finally, there’s the bonus 97 James Halliday pointed 2016 Richard Hamilton Centurion Shiraz off vines planted back when Gold rushes were still a thing. It's a monumental beast, deserving of the best cut of meat you can throw at it and it’s packed with enough stuffing to last for the next 30 summers or more.
