Scorchin’ ‘Strayan Summer Selection - Fancy Dinner Party Edition

Price as configured: $180.00

It’s that time of year where the mood has long turned languorous and you just want to be chilling out with family and mates, visiting the beach while bemoaning budgie smugglers and ripping the lid of a corker drop or two. There could be a beer or two in that mix, maybe a gin and tonic. But there’s no better way to celebrate the Aussie summer than with the most magnificent Aussie icon – Shiraz! We’ve also chucked in a couple of superb sauvies for those days when the weather is drier than a dead dingo's donger.

Allow us to prattle on a little more about this...

Some dead set Aussie rippers in this pack. The Hidden Sea Sauvy is a smooth mover and the K1 Sauvy just knocked off Shaw and Smith to claim the Trophy as the Adelaide Hills best. Shazam! Then we’ve got Bird in Hand Rosé, packed with crunchy red fruits and great length. And then there was SHIRAZ!, Shiraz and more Shiraz... The Hesketh is made by Phil Lehmann, son of legend Peter Lehmann and packs plenty of punch with its black fruits. Give it a rip with some gourmet snags, good ones mind! Then, there’s the monumental Centurion Shiraz made from vines planted back when gold rushes were still a thing. It's a super intense beast, deserving of the best cut of meat you can throw at it and it’s packed with enough stuffing to last for the next 30 summers or more. It has a gold already and we’re betting it will equal the 97 point score Halliday gave the 2 previous vintages. Finally 97 point super premium McLaren Vale face-melting deliciousness from Martins. Dark fruits, intensity, fine tannins - magical and needs meat.
