A single vineyard Shiraz produced in tiny quantities. Plum, pepper and dark chocolate. A sumptuous Shiraz that finishes with enough acid and tannin to give it length. Will cellar well but is already perfect with red meat.

Schubert Estate’s vineyard inhabits some fairly rarefied territory, sitting next to vineyards owned by Greenock Creek, Torbreck and Two Hands. Cropping is kept low, at around 2 tonne per acre, to ensure concentration in the finished wines. Both James Halliday and Robert Parker are big fans of the brand, with James offering the following... “The late Max Schubert was not a close relation of Steve and Cecilia Schubert, but I am sure he would be impressed with the estate’s Shiraz. Output is tiny, but the quality is truly outstanding, and will repay prolonged cellaring.”
