Special Price $18.00 Regular Price $26.00
A delicious, crunchy and bright wine with expressive aromas of red and blue fruits and florals. Flavours include red fruits, fruitcake, cloves and there is enough acid and tannin to make this lively and mouth-watering. It’s lovely now and will improve for the next few years with cellaring.

Richard Hamilton and indeed Leconfield wines (same owner and winemaker) have steadily improved in quality every year from 2004. In addition to the wines they regularly produce from their McLaren Vale and Coonawarra vineyards, 2014 sees the addition of a Clare Riesling and Adelaide Hills Savvy Blanc.

Located in McLaren Vale, the Leconfield vineyards that produce Richard Hamilton fruit are well established, with some of the oldest vines in the region.

Grenache Decision

The great all-rounder… The Christmas/New Year’s period brought all kinds of people to my place each craving a tipple… of course being the gracious host I found myself asking ‘what sort of red would you prefer?...’ on one occasion I didn’t think this through too well because all I had was two bottles of Hamilton Burtons Vineyard Grenache 2010… enter the inner rascal in me that thought it would be fun to put this wine through its paces… interesting exercise, here’s what happened… ‘… something fruity but not too heavy’ – verdict, ‘wow, what’s this? This is Grenache!’ Conclusion…
