Reddle Me This
Reddle me this, what's black and blue and red all over. Probably lots of things, but especially premium award winning reds with an accent on Shiraz. Awesome reviews for each of these from respected wine writers and every wine passed our tasting panel with flying colours (more than once). Each wine drinks well now but is even better if you can spare a moment to decant it a little ahead of time. All have a long life ahead of them. Perfect for gift giving but tastiest on your own tongue.

Brilliant reds here with plenty of bling. The only riddle you'll face is in working out who is lucky enough to be gifted a bottle or three of these or if you'll keep the lot for yourself. Heirloom's Barossa Shiraz is magical, packed with fruit, poise and a polish that is hard to beat. Martin's 97 point Mclaren Vale Shiraz offers intense black fruits, cedar and perfect balance. Kilikanoon's 96 point marvel offers intense dark fruits and chocolate in a silken setting. Lone Palm is old school Barossa goodness; big fruit, sweetness and firm tannins. Manser Dad's Block is a brilliantly structured wine light enough on its feet to drink now with plenty of spice, hints of cocoa and chocolate along with blue and black fruits. Manser Block 4 Shiraz brings spicy black and blue fruits on the nose with a curious hint of mintiness to boot. The palate is full bodied supported by a backbone of fine, powdery tannins with a long rich finish. This is a belter of a pack and at an average of less than $21 a bottle, you can afford to drink the good stuff this silly season.
