Over the last decade and a bit, Zonte’s have regularly picked up trophies, medals and accolades for their wines, most of which sell between $18 and $25 a bottle. Pretty much every wine they make receives a significant accolade or a glowing review or 3. Their emphasis is always on quality fruit and never too much oak. The finished wines are always delicious from the moment they are released.
This might seem like a strange one, but I can honestly say that this combo really works. Usually, when you think of burgers you lean towards a beer, or even a nice glass of red. The freshness of the apple, spice coming through from the tomato jam, and the addition of pork had me leaning towards a Riesling.
