Is Chardonnay sparkling?
Both. While Pinot Noir is a red gape, it is leaned on heavily for the production of white sparkling wine, including Champagne, and dry red table wines.
Is Pinot Noir better warm or cold?
If it is sparkling, then cold for sure but perhaps not fridge cold at 5 degrees. Most sparkling wine looks best at between 6 and 10 degrees. Dry red Pinot can take a chill as it is low in tannin. Somewhere around 15 to 20 degrees is often the sweet spot.

Like all red wines anthocyanins bind up aromatics, especially in the wine’s youth. By breathing the wine you allow these aromatics to become available to your olfactories. This means you can smell much more of what is going on in the glass which in turn enhances the wine’s flavours.
What is the best Pinot Noir in Australia?
The one you like most is always the best! Pinot from the Mornington Peninsula, Adelaide Hills, Tasmania and Yarra Valley and the Picardy Pinot Noir of Pemberton are particularly well regarded.
What food goes well with Pinot Noir?
Pinot Noir pairs well with dishes featuring duck, mushrooms, cherries, goat and other milder cheeses. Bigger editions can go well with lamb.
