Eventually he decided to work for himself, making the perfect wines to pair with his fave thing to eat - Steak. So here it is, cloaked in iridescent purple, ripe black fruits, dark chocolate, vanillin oak and whisper fine tannins. Good by itself? Yes, as is the medium Rare T-bone you are sliding off the charcoal grill. Together though, somehow, both become perfect. Get 'em into ya!

Hamish MacGowan took a while to figure out what he wanted to do. Initially mustering cattle on remote Northern Territory stock camps, he also spent time working for a wine merchant in the UK, then making wine for a Bordeaux producer, then one in Moldova. Eventually he found himself back in Aus, making Cab in Victoria. A few years later, making Cab for himself, Cab made especially with pairing with Beef in mind. 22 years later, he's still at it!
