    Even more concentrated than the 2018 vintage. A massive, deep and complex expression of the best bits of the Barossa Valley. Dark chocolate, liquorice, tobacco leaf, cedar, cassis, plums, cherries, spice and plenty of cedary oak and tannins. Incredible.

    The original Langhorne Creek plantings of Shiraz from 1891 form the backbone and majority of this Shiraz from the brilliant 2021 vintage from Metala. The fruit is rich, the flavours complex and long, showing off the vine age as chocolate, cherries, pepper, blueberries and more cavort long before being wrapped up in quality, cedary oak. As good as the previous vintage was, this is better.

    A glorious Riesling from one of the great vintages made by one of the Clare’s finest producers. This is a stunning Clare Riesling, built around lemons and limes, offering minerality and brilliant length and intensity.

    Wow! Full bodied, deep black and packed black fruits, gunsmoke, graphite and cedar. Immediately appealing though this is, it is absolutely worth decanting and will cellar for 15+ years. The fruit is hand picked, hand plunged and basket pressed before spending 14 months in mostly old French oak.

    A riper, darker and more supple expression of Peppertree Shiraz which retains the hallmark, spice and subtlety. It was aged in old oak and released at 5 years of age – ready to drink! This is balanced and fresh, offering dark fruits, cherries, violets, dark chocolate, savoury notes and white pepper. Drink any time over the next 10+ years.

    Striking and concentrated lime dominates the aromatics here. The palate is powerful, with plenty of acid carrying the lime forward and across the length. A Riesling that really demands to be served with food.

    Whilst 2020 was a challenging growing season and yields were very low, fruit quality and concentration were excellent, even exemplary. There is concentrated black and blue fruit here, along with cedar and spice. The acid is fantastic, playing the perfect underscore to the fruit and giving this wine excellent lift and length. Tannins are fine and firm. Superb to drink now and for the next decade.

    Herbs, blue fruits and spice on the nose. Mulberries, blueberries, spice, dried herbs and black pepper on the palate. This is drink by itself friendly, food friendly and just generally friendly, but in a serious kinda way. Because there’s no mistaking this wine is both classy and very well put together.

    Deep Woods have quite the knack of picking up trophies! This is the second iteration of their Margaret River Ivory SSB to score a gold, top gold and Trophy at the Royal Adelaide Show. This edition has a heap of zip and crunch as snow pea, passionfruit, lemon curd and blossoms collide. As we’ve come to expect, perfectly attenuated acidity gives lift and life.     Tidy and crisp, this is a Pinot Grigio with the obvious pear up front, but backed by a lick of lemon sweetness and a tantalizing acidity that takes everything up a notch.

    Winemaking legends Tim Knappstein and Nick Knappstein are responsible for this beautiful Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc from the exceptional '23 vintage. No expense was spared in the fruit quality, with high altitude vineyards (Piccadilly and Carey Gully) chosen, and only the cane pruned sections. Aromas of passionfruit and florals dominate the nose with the palate offering clarity, depth. texture, minerality and the zing of well-balanced acidity.
