A stunning offering from Lone Palm sourced entirely from 3 small Barossa Vineyards planted in the 1950s and 60s. Vineyards are from the highly prized sub-districts of Ebenezer, Vine Vale and Nuriootpa. Older French and American oak is employed here to allow the fruit to shine, and stunning fruit it is. Satsuma plum, blueberry, dark cherry, spice, chocolate, liquorice and more on the go here. A stunning White Burgundy, aka Chardonnay, from a legendary producer who has been fermenting grapes since 1711. Bill Nanson, of the Burgundy Report, first tasted this wine 3 years ago, offering ‘More complexity and vibrance to this aroma – more barrel too ... a wine that’s more about the future. Wide, saline, concentrated, and certainly mineral. The finish is subtle but very persistent. You should give this wine at least 3 years in the cellar – or I would anyway. New World take on an Old World fave. Still showing the signature Grenache trademarks on the nose with aromatic dark raspberries and red cherries, you might even find a little aniseed and other spice notes once it has had some time to open up. The palate offers an array of juicy red berry fruits and oh so subtle hints of vanilla with a touch of toasted cocoa even, little gifts given from the French Oak. Always a standout from the Kilikanoon stable, with pretty much every vintage rated at somewhere between 95 and 97 points. The 2020 is the most concentrated yet- perhaps owing to the vintage being significantly smaller than normal. Bucketloads of black fruit, violets, blackcurrant pastilles, black tea, acidity and a truckload of fine tannins here. Get it in a decanter and serve with a rare T-Bone. A full bodied, intense and varietal Cab from the warm 2018 vintage, tamed by close to 2 years’ maturation in 60% new French oak, and a few years bottle age. Drinking beautifully already, this offers black fruits, violet, tobacco leaf and dark chocolate. Works beautifully with all things lamb. Learn More

A brilliantly complex yet powerful Shiraz. The Blewitt Springs plantings provide fragrance and delicious blue fruits, the California Road plantings bring blackstrap, black and blue fruits, power and chewy tannins. Wonderful already and should comfortably improve for more than a decade. Learn More

Since 1996, Chris Thomas has maintained a shiraz solera which form part of this lip smacking sparkling. The solera contains some of the best shiraz Chris has made over the last 20+ years and is used sparingly and exclusively to add the finishing touches to his sparkling shiraz each year and adds depth of flavour and complexity. This is sparkling shiraz as we love it- opulent, slightly sweet, with richness, complexity, oak and plenty of fine tannins. That structure combined with flavours of blackberry, cherry. dark chocolate and spice making this a perfect accompaniment to protein, like roast chook, bacon and eggs, etc. It's bloody good.
