Bleasdale's Wellington Road GSM blend has only been in existence for a handful of years, but it draws on quality older vines from the estate as well as key growers. Offering vivid aromatics, it builds around a core of noticeable acidity and fine but plentiful tannins - a skeleton that promises longevity. A casual 97 points from James Halliday! Oh, and four trophies and a 'stacks on' pile of golds and top gold medals. This is dense and complex, whilst also being taut and linear. A brilliant, medium bodied, single vineyard temp with minimal oak influence. A wonderful red fruit and chocolate palate, complexity coming from the mix of red cherries, chocolate, supportive acidity and fine fruit tannins.
