A glorious Riesling from the 2022 vintage, widely considered the equal of the great 2002 and 2021 vintages. A wonderful, textural, stonefruit driven and buttery, full bodied Chardonnay. Just the best fruit is taken from Dowies elevated, sandy soiled Blewitt Springs Vineyards. After a gentle press without the use of rollers, a mix of whole berries and juice is inoculated with yeast, and once that is rolling is transferred to older French oak. This is the seventh release of their flagship ‘Hills shiraz and as usual you’re hit immediately with a waft of black and blue fruits and the trademark white pepper that announces this wine as a “hills monster". The palate is full bodied and it’s here you see even more layers of complexity and intrigue, no doubt due to the co-fermentation of 5 different clones scattered throughout this unique vineyard.
