Picardy Pemberton 'Boise' Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2018
Picardy produces two blends of Sauv Blanc and Semillon. This is their homage to the Bordeaux version which sees partial barrel fermentation, some malolactic fermentation and lees stirring to build complexity and texture. The wine is then aged for 9 months, half in oak, half in stainless steel. This is complex, rich and nutty, spiced and stone fruity with just a suggestion of fluffy tannins from the oak.
