- A Temptation of TempranilloRegular Price $215.00 $150.00Tempranillo is one of our favourite things here at winedirect.com.au. Here's 3 rippers which you'll be getting 2 bottles apiece of. From one of the Rioja's oldest producers, the Carlos Serres Crianza 2020 which sees high quality Tempranillo spend a year in oak and a year in bottle prior to release. This is a particularly good example, packed with red fruits, cherries, spice, oak and nervy acidity. Bleasdale 2022 - a trophy winner at the Adelaide Show with wonderful red fruits and subtle oak influence. Red cherries, chocolate, supportive acidity and fine tannins. Good at room temp, and also worth giving a 20 min spell in the fridge. Colab and Bloom 2021 - a Gold medal winner from a highly regarded vineyard in Maacclesfield (Adelaide Hills). Medium bodied, with plenty of red fruits, violet, cherry, cola and spice. Learn More
- Alt. Reds incl. 2 Kilikanoon StunnersRegular Price $259.50 $150.00There really isn't a weak link in this pack. From the Mike Farmilo (ex Penfolds Grange) made Temp and Sangio, to the Brothers at War gold winning and Halliday 95 pointed Grenache, which is as powerful as it is light on its feet. The Mazza Touriga is a ripper too, tiny production, epic aromatics and a softness which belies its complexity. To seal the deal, Kilikanoon's Prodigal Grenache, awarded best Grenache of Show at the incredibly competitive Royal Adelaide Wine Show, and the just released, and even more sharply limited Walton's Grenache, sourced from a tiny block planted in 1946. - Martins & Manser Shiraz-OffRegular Price $1,290.00 $360.006 bottles apiece of 2 stellar 97 point Shiraz which you can enjoy side by side, over and over again. First up Martin’s 97 point super-premium McLaren Vale Shiraz which is packed with black and blue fruits and finished with rasps of cedar and powdery tannin. Three Scores in for this so far 1x97 ans 2x96! Last but not least, Manser’s Block 4 Shiraz, replete with two scores of 97 points and a gold medal; a powerhouse, black-fruited Shiraz packing cedar and vanilla which is finished with plentiful fine tannins. - Oh Pinot, My PinotRegular Price $268.00 $199.00When Pinot is good, it's absolutely magical... and generally terrifyingly expensive. Common refrains of inveterate Pinot drinkers include 'that's bloody good for $30', and the slightly unconvincing 'nice Pinot', uttered with equal parts relief and lament, 'cos it's decent and tastes like Pinot, but doesn't offer that ethereal, magical, sense-enveloping and expanding magic that Pinot can deliver, albeit frustratingly infrequently. We're here to fix that today, with this Pinot six-pack, which includes: 2x $28 Pinots that are better than most $40 Pinots. This is the Knappstein; light to medium bodied, fragrant, with great acidity. A lovely, moreish drop. 2x $40 Pinots which are excellent, perfumed, powerful and yet light on their feet. This is the Heirloom Velvet Fog; wafting an ethereal and refined Pinot fug, medium bodied, powerful, long and lovely. 2x $70 a bottle, best in class, Burgundian cloned STUNNERS. This is the Picardy, which is in the top handful of Pinots made in Aus. Medium bodied, superlative fruit and glassine, Burgundy-like tannins to finish. Over the past couple of vintages, at least two wine writers have named Picardy their fave Pinot of the year. It's that good! Learn More
- On Point ShirazRegular Price $504.00 $180.00At just $15 a bottle, this could be our best ever value Shiraz pack. The 'quaffer', aka Yarra Celebration Shiraz has scored an average of 4.4 stars out of 5 from customers who have bought it from us. We like it too... good fruit, mid weight, too good to be called a quaffer. The Angas King is a $75 a bottle stunner from the Clare. Richness, intensity and complexity in spades here in a wine which is only just entering its ideal drinking window and will drink well for at least another decade. Sidewood's Shiraz has harvested 12 gold medals and 96 points from Halliday. These are estate grown, hand tended vines- with the best fruit picked by a Pellenc select harvester. Lesser quality fruit does not find its way into this wine. Consider also, the use of 12 individual clones separately wild yeast fermented, given extended maceration on skins in barrel and then matured for 15 months in 100% French oak, 25% of which is new. Finally, only the best barrels make the cut for bottling. Learn More
- Riotous Red Baker's DozenRegular Price $565.00 $180.00
Answering the call from y'all for some more varied packs, we've put this beauty together with a magic bonus. This lot might not be a riot of colours, given they are all red, but they certainly offer a big variety of different flavours.
You'll be getting 2 bottles apiece of 3 alternative McLaren Vale/Fleurieu Peninsula Reds from Colab and Bloom, made by Mike Farmilo who used to make Penfolds Grange - their exquisite Sangiovese, Montepulciano and Tempranillo. These are all award winners with reviews akin to the following, (from Kim Brebach for the Sangiovese) "What a lovely surprise! OK, it’s not Brunello di Montalcino, but it’s a great bistro red that goes really well with tomatoes, olives, smoked meats, pork sausages, tasty cheeses and heaps more. Light on its feet, elegant even, but big on flavour. Love this! 94 points. A Must Try Red.".
You'll also be getting a couple of bottles of the magical $75 a bottle Angas King 2017 Reserve Shiraz, which was our biggest selling wine in March, 2 of Kilikanoon's incredible, $50, 95 point Clare Cabs and a couple of Wishbone's excellent Shiraz Cab.
To seal the deal, an incredible $96, 96pt 2021 Walton’s old vine Grenache. It’s a ripper.

Three Shiraz you could cellar but will give a heap of pleasure if you rip into them over the next year or so.
There’s the Yarra, made by a former Penfolds Grange maker, with its medium bodied fruit and savoury notes. The Tomich Woodside is consistently one of the best Shiraz outta the Adelaide Hills and the Sieben Klon is a big, black, structural Barossa beast with heaps of Generous fruit. All this for just $15 a bottle.

- The Class of 96: 96 Points & AboveRegular Price $608.00 $199.00
Half a dozen properly exceptional reds, all of which have picked up a 96pt score or better somewhere. More importantly, we’ve ‘researched’ these frequently and love ‘em. Stonehouse’s Barossa Shiraz, which has been compared to Penfolds Grange, Martins’ 97 pointer, Majella’s 4 x trophy winner which was named Winestate Magazine’s Cab of the year and more. All superb wines available at a very tidy price in this bundle.
Learn More - The Delicious Alternative Red DozenRegular Price $535.00 $265.00We kick off with the celebrated Heirloom Alcala Grenache. The '22 picked up the Decanter Trophy for world's best Grenache in a substantial field of heavy hitting Grenache from Aus, France, Spain, California and more. There's also Lone Palm's Old Vine Grenache, a wine made in tiny quantities which we rate as highly as the Alcala. Then the Sieben Klon, a multi clonal, ethereal Barossa Grenache which is altogether lighter, but no less compelling. From there, excellent examples of Tempranillo, Montepulciano and Sangiovese made by Mike Farmilo, who used to make Penfolds Grange. These are genuinely excellent too! Learn More
