Bright red fruit wrapped in the silk and spice you’d expect from a classic McLaren Vale Shiraz. Generous yet balanced, with a vibrant acidity that lifts the fruit. Layers of well-integrated oak add structure, making this a wine that will cellar beautifully for 10+ years.
A big, brooding beast, packed with blackberry, dark cherries, dark chocolate, baking spice and plenty of cedar. The generosity and ripeness of fruit is superb. Definitely worth decanting.

Only tiny quantities are made of this wine, which is the product of the finest of Dowie Doole's A-grade Cabernet fruit from each vintage. '21 being an incredible vintage has elevated this even further. The previous vintage picked up 96 points from Kim Brebach who said,
"Decades ago, I had the privilege of tasting a group of Barolos and Barbarescos made by Giovanni Gaia. These wines had layers of deep flavour, ranging from smoked meats and old leather to licorice, gravel dust and tar. The Dowie Doole Architect reminded me of those wines because it had some of those characters, even if the expression was more restrained. Give it time, and I think you’ll be richly rewarded. If the price seems steep, keep in mind that a Barbaresco from Gaia will set you back $600."
The '21 is better again than the exceptional 2019 vintage, and represents a barrel selection chosen from only A-grade parcels from the old, dry-grown Blewitt Springs vineyard. There's black fruits, licorice, richness, density and layers. A stunning wine that will live for a very long time

A wonderful Grenache with a little age. New school bright fruit and exceptionally deftly placed tannins meet high-quality, old-school oak. Ned Goodwin from the Halliday Wine Companion wrote a year ago ‘too much mocha-vanilla-infused oak enshrouding this, the fruit and structural latticework beyond it is sublime, auguring well for future change... Raspberry bon-bon, thyme, orange zest and lavender. The acidity, juicy and palpably natural. The grape tannins, lithe and etched with grace... I score this with the promise to which I hold it.’ A year later and this wine’s time has arrived, it is a ripper!

We're not quite sure how they've done it- but this is perfectly balanced, with an exceptional density of fruit and gloriously detailed fruit, perfect if you are looking for something nuanced and precise, equally adept at just filling you to the brim with masses of fruit.

A stunner which will improve for well over a decade.
A magical organic McLaren Vale Shiraz from the highly prized Wits End vineyard. This has a wonderful red/black fruit fragrance, dense yet luscious fruits, violet notes and excellent intensity and length. Drink with gusto now but if your preference is cellared reds, you could also put this down for a decade or more.
