A beautifully silky and expressive mid-weight shiraz. Blackberries, plums, chocolate, with red fruits and great acidity too. While it is midweight, the fruit concentration is excellent and will satisfy you if you like your wines on the big side. A cracker, which will only improve with time.
The Oliver’s have been growing grapes in the Vale since the 1840s, only recently stepping into the world of winemaking. The bulk of their grapes go to big company producers hungry for top-end fruit. Consistently picking up high scores and in recent years, supplying grapes to Penfolds to make Grange, Oliver’s Taranga wines are going to go from strength to strength in the years to come under the watchful eye of Corrina Wright.
