Allow us to prattle on a little more about this...

If you’ve had your fill of Shiraz and Cabernet and are ready for something different, this one’s for you. Grenache from St John’s Road in the Barossa, which won Best Grenache at the 2018 Royal Adelaide Wine Show (as well as a swag of other awards) and Curtis' 96 point, $100/btl McLaren Vale offering. Both full of sweet fruit and confection with some delicious savoury tannins - great choices for roast pork or pork belly. Zonte’s 2016 Dawn Patrol Pinot Noir made from elegant fruit sourced from the Adelaide Hills... although we could have been fooled if you told us it was from the Yarra Valley! Perfumed florals jump out at first with blue and purple fruits, leading to tobacco and black cherries on the palate with a playful finish. Zonte’s Canto di Lago (song of the lake) is a smart, suave Italian blend of Sangiovese, Barbera and Lagrein. Plenty of savoury fruit here making it a great contender for a pizza or chargrilled meats. Sister’s Run introduced us to their Barossa GSM last year and it soon became a staff favourite. Black fruits such as cherries and mulberries with some dried herbs and smoked meats make for a very complex and pleasant medium to full-bodied wine - no surprises that this won the Tilbrook Rasheed Trophy at the previous Royal Adelaide Wine Show. Saperavi is a Georgian grape variety (one of the oldest wine regions in the world) with red flesh within the berry, not just contained in the skin, like most red grape varieties. This wine is big and brooding, with characters of cherries, blackberries, tar and smokiness. Feel free to contact us for recipes that would suit any of these wines. $120 for this gorgeous lot, but No One Will Order This anyway...
