Allow us to prattle on a little more about this...

Drank too much Shiraz or Cabernet over the silly season? Try these out and let us know what you think... we love ‘em. Spinifex Garcon Grenache was an absolute office favourite last year. Big and black, with brooding tannins you’ll pour another glass before you read the back of the label. Curtis Limited Grenache is crunchy and fruity, with fresh and poached cherries front and centre. Hesketh make excellent stuff and their Negro is drinking superbly. It’s medium bodied with an abundance of florals and light berries, wrapped up in a savoury finish, perfect for pizza, pasta or a seafood BBQ. Conte Di Campiano’s Squinzano is also in Negro territory, but contrasting the Hesketh with slurpy hot currant and oaken spice. Lino Ramble’s Nero D’Avola is still Adam’s secret weapon at dinner parties. It’s superbly light and playful, but deep and textural at the same time. Cherry, strawberry and mulberry all come out to play here. We’ve also got another Nero from Sherrah Wines. Succulent fruits with dried herbs, mint and a touch of anise. Unfiltered and expressive flavour and great length. We love it. Six wines, $120. Go on, spend that Christmas present money from Gran!
