Lush and aromatic, this beautifully slurpable Touriga Nacional offers blueberry, plum, blackberry, cocoa, red fruits and cinnamon. Wonderful at room temp, it is also great after 20 mins in the fridge. We love it.
Anna and David Mazza both love Portuguese and Spanish varietals. To that end they pioneered them in the Geographe region of WA, planting Touriga, Tempranillo, Bastardo, Graciano. Tinta Cao and Sousao, from which they primarily make red wines and fortifieds. The quality of the fruit is exceptional and much of it is bought by some of the major players in WA for their own wines.
This might seem like a strange one, but I can honestly say that this combo really works. Usually, when you think of burgers you lean towards a beer, or even a nice glass of red. The freshness of the apple, spice coming through from the tomato jam, and the addition of pork had me leaning towards a Riesling.
