Allow us to prattle on a little more about this...

Leconfield and Richard Hamilton are certainly no strangers to us here, in fact, they’re very, very welcome. The Coonawarra Old Vines Riesling (some of you may remember that the Coonawarra was once as acclaimed for its Riesling as it now is for its Cabernet - and it still produces bloody good ones) shows great aromas of Tahitian limes, zesty citrus and coastal freshness, with underlying lavender blossoms. The 2015 Chardonnay shows peach and almonds nestling in French Oak which upon ageing will present a gentle buttery flavour. Completing the white wine selection is the Richard Hamilton ‘The Hills’ Sauvignon Blanc, showing distinct cut grass and tropical fruits. As far as the reds go, prepare for iconic McLaren Vale Shiraz, Coonawarra Cabernet and Merlot. The 2015 Richard Hamilton Centurion Shiraz has picked up 5 Gold Stars from Master of Wine Rob Geddes, marking it as one of the best Shiraz on the planet - it is lengthy and ripe, and made from 120+ year old vines. This is partnered with the Leconfield McLaren Vale Shiraz which has picked up 94pts from James Halliday and displays fruit, complexity and structure - drinks beautifully now but has the stuffing to cellar for a decade. The 95 point 2015 Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon delivers just what you would expect from the region: dark blackcurrant, mulberries, cedary oak and tannin. This one will cellar brilliantly for 20 years but is so darn impressive right now! Finally, a super stand-out Merlot, yes, you heard correctly. This Merlot is very lively, with notes of chocolate and mint, resounding dark plum and lovely grainy tannins. We suggest a quick decant to bring out the best with this one. Welcome to the Leconfield of Dreams. We built it, you do the rest...
