Allow us to prattle on a little more about this...

The fire is lit, there’s something delicious on the dinner table and all you need is a cracking bottle of Shiraz. In this bunch, you’ll find plenty. Starting in the McLaren Vale we've got the Curtis Cavaliere - bearing blue and red fruits, good structure and length. Another step up again from the Curtis Family Vineyards is their Limited Shiraz - a ripping McLaren Vale Shiraz in true full body style, loaded with punch, black and blue fruit and with the stuffing to cellar well but enough up-front bright fruit to drink straight away. Zonte’s Lake Doctor Shiraz comes adorned with 4 Gold Medals and is a really generous, offering up plenty of chocolate, coffee, plums and liquorice - it’s long and intense with sensational oak qualities on the finish - give it some time to breathe to really let the flavours and aromas jump out at you. Leconfield’s  2015 Shiraz recently picked up 94pts from James Halliday and is happily drunk now with its rich fruit, peppers and fine tannins - perfect with a nice piece of rare meat but equally at home with a plate of olives and antipasto. Heading now to the Fleurieu and we welcome Monterra’s 2016 Shiraz - this wine is bright with big blue and red fruit, moving to plums on its very lush nose - the palate is rich with depth, structure and excellent length - it's delicious but we'd expect nothing less from winemaker Mike Farmilo. Finniss River round out the pack with their 4 Gold Medal winning Shiraz abounding with plum and dark chocolate, and primed with a burst of sweet fruit - plenty of fine grippy tannins also served up on aristocratic oak. Go on, treat yourself. Let these lovelies warm up your winter nights.
