Henschke 'Peggy’s Hill' Riesling 2017

Astute crisp pear and apple juice dusted with citric lime acidity and a touch of minerality. We love this drop for its gorgeously visceral mouth feel, slatey minerality along with its purity and intensity of citrus. Absolute class from a prestigious producer.

Allow us to prattle on a little more about this...

Henschke are one of those wineries that we’ve all heard of. Fifth-generation Stephen Henschke and youngest son of Cyril Henschke showed great interest in science and winemaking at an early age. With a wonderful family heritage of winemaking Stephen is proud that the Henschke name and reputation is inexorably linked with red wines in general and Hill of Grace in particular, but with winemaking in his blood he approaches all wine styles with the same depth of passion and commitment. Prue Henschke is one of Australia’s best grape growers, and was awarded Viticulturist of the year in 2016, one of many accolades her work has garnered her over the years.

Customer Reviews

A pretty classic, crisp, lean and and long Eden Valley Riesling.

Henschke Peggys Hill Riesling 2017 - A pretty classic, crisp, lean and and long Eden Valley Riesling. Not as aromatic as some 2017s, more austere and built for the long haul. 92 points.
