Heirloom Vineyards Anevo Fortress Grenache Touriga Tempranillo 2018

Special Price $62.00 Regular Price $80.00
Selected from Heirloom’s best McLaren Vale vineyard. We saw musk, plum skin, spice, cherries, earthiness, Earl Grey tea, blackberry and black pepper. A sense enveloping and incredibly beguiling wine finished with a dusting of fine powdery tannins. Magical.

Heirloom Vineyards was conceived in vintage 2000, when a young winemaking student caught the eye of a silly old wine judge. A love story ensued inspired by two vows: To preserve the best of tradition, the old world of wine and our unique old vineyards and to champion the best clones of each variety planted in the most appropriate sites embracing the principals of organic and biodynamic farming. Seven long vintages of trial and error passed before Heirloom Vineyards could make a wine that was fine enough to pass on to future generations.

In Australia Tempranillo is now grown in many Australian wine regions including McLaren Vale, the Adelaide Hills, Wrattonbully and in Western Australia. There are now over 200 Australian wine ...
