An opulent wine grown and vinified on the ancient soils of Marananga, a sub-region of the Barossa Valley. Fruits are blue and black, the length and concentration exceptional, and furry tannins to finish. Just entering its prime, this wine has a good decade ahead of it.

The Hare’s Chase Vineyard dates back to 1961 and is in the Marananga sub-region of the Barossa Valley. The Vineyard covers 35 acres which are tended carefully and generally yield a very low 2 tonnes per acre. Plantings are predominantly Shiraz, with a bit of Cab, Tempranillo and Merlot also in the ground. Wines are made with minimal intervention and are bottled without fining or filtration.
