Allow us to prattle on a little more about this...

Christmas has long gone and we’re well and truly in the New Year, but who doesn’t need a supply of reliable reds just because...  enjoy quality McLaren Vale Shiraz from Curtis Heritage and Hesketh -  both with not too much acid, but generous ripe summer berry fruits, spice and slippery tannins. Tim Adams Bayes Block Cabernet is refreshingly cool climate, showing an abundance of blue fruit and a whisper of red capsicum. Kilikanoon have recently formed a partnership with a major Chinese buyer, hopefully helping to highlight the Clare Valley. Their wine remains the same though, bunches of ripe fruit on top of classy oak treatment. Geoff Hardy’s French inspired Meritage blend is here again for 2018 with its lush purple and black fruits, laced with tannins. Serve it up alongside blue crab pasta.. mmm. Debutante are new friends of ours and their 2014 Shiraz is spectacular. Bright, sweet fruits showing cherry, anise and black olive in an unfiltered style from the Limestone Coast of SA. $129 for this everyday reliable red pack, with a saving of $189. Forget the bottleshop...
